Alliance Defending Freedom and Their Mission To Protect the Rights of All People
Alliance Defending Freedom (ADF) is a global legal organization. Launched in 1994, the Christian legal advocacy group’s main aim is to defend the rights of, not just Christians, but also people from other religions. Even if a person does not subscribe to any faith, ADF can still work with them.
Alliance Defending Freedom is a non-profit legal organization based in Scottsdale, Arizona. Michael Farris and Jay Sekulow founded it in 1997 as the Alliance Defense Fund. The group’s goal is to defend religious liberty for all people, claiming this freedom is “under assault” from a secular progressive movement.

According to ADF, this should not be seen as discrimination because people have the right to express their religious views fearlessly.
Alliance Defending Freedom strongly believes every person has a right to life. Thus, they defend the rights of women and children from birth to natural death. The case of Jesse Ramirez is an illustration that euthanasia is wrong. If ADF had not intervened, Ramirez would have died.
Parents also have the right to raise their children according to their principles. If they feel that schools are misleading them through indoctrination, ADF steps in to assist.
Internationally, Alliance Defending Freedom has been pivotal in fighting against religious persecution in the Middle East. They have been assisting through the United Nations and asking other human rights organizations to intervene. They also visit the persecuted and record their testimonies. These serve as critical evidence in court.
