Zaxby’s America's Fastest-Growing Fast Food Source
In an industry that continues to see restrictions and cutbacks in restaurant loyalty programs, Zaxby’s seems to be defying the trend by broadening its offerings. The chain’s app just expanded its “Zax Rewardz” program by treating every new enrolee to a free “Big Zax Snak” meal. For the uninformed, this offer comprises a trio of “Chicken Fingerz,” “Texas Toast” and “Zax Sauce” with a size of crinkle fries and a small “Coca-Cola Freestyle” beverage.
Patrick Schwing, Chief Marketing and Strategy Officer for the chain, stated in a press release that Zaxby’s is doubling down on rewarding its loyal customers. That initiative begins with the Big Zax Snax meal for newcomers and includes an improvement in the ease of accruing and redeeming rewards. His comments go on to mention that the response exceeded expectations and greatly indicated that many appreciated the value of the company’s loyalty program. In addition to being the fastest-growing app in recent history, with a notable 317% rise in downloads by the November of 2022, the app sits at a rating of 4.7 in the app store.
Changes to the Zaxby’s loyalty program mean that members can enjoy promotional benefits like free delivery on certain Sundays or weeks. Users can also convert points, earned at the rate of ten per dollar spent, into free items on a catalog or shave dollars off their purchase.
Zaxby’s updated its rewards program in September 2022. This chain, known for chicken-based food offerings and its fondness for the letter Z, has a presence in 17 states that accounts for over 900 locations. Much like Chik-Fil-A, one of its biggest competitors, Zaxby’s was started in Georgia; the first location debuted in Statesboro, close to the Georgia Southern University campus. Despite starting in Statesboro, the company’s headquarters is located in Athens, Georgia.
