The Colcom Foundation Is Here To Help

The Colcom Foundation was founded by Cordelia S. May in 1996. The purpose of the group was to call attention to the plight of the planet. This was in particular reference to the many disasters caused by overpopulation. Although its place of origin was the western side of Pennsylvania, its influence soon grew.

Colcom Foundation supports several special programs, including the Conservation Catalyst Fund, which grants conservation organizations working to protect threatened species and habitats. By offering financial support and resources, this foundation allows these groups to make significant strides in conservation efforts.

The founders of the Colcom Foundation believe that the present state of the planet is one in which its resources are being stretched to the breaking point. This is a disaster that, if left unchecked, will have effects that echo all over the globe. The effects that overpopulation creates includes mass starvation and the destruction of the environment.

For all of these reasons and more, Cordelia S. May called Colcom Foundation into its initial phase of existence. Even then, there were concerns that the action was a classic case of too little, too late. However, since that time there have been certain signs that may point to a better resolution. For one, the internet has opened up an exciting new door.

Thanks to the advent of the world wide web, the Colcom Foundation has been able to reach an entirely new segment of the global community. These are the people who would not have known anything about a group in Western Pennsylvania on their own. The level of exposure that the internet has brought the group has given it a shot in the arm.

The Colcom Foundation has been able to use the web to store a vast wealth of articles. These contain all of the info that the group has amassed over the years. It can be accessed by the public in order to learn more about how to reduce the population. Doing so in a safe and healthy manner has been the group’s paramount concern.
