Robert Kraft

Robert Kraft is a generous philanthropist who has donated millions of dollars to charitable causes. He is the owner of the New England Patriots and has catered to the needs of many non-profit organizations. Kraft supports various charities, including scholarships for underprivileged children, supporting victims’ families after the 9/11 attacks, funding medical research, and aiding sports teams playing in international competitions. The Kraft Group, Inc. is based in Fairfield, Connecticut, where Robert Kraft’s spouse manages Myra Kraft’s company. The company sponsors professional and collegiate sports teams in the United States and worldwide.

In 2009 alone, Robert Kraft was recognized as one of Connecticut’s most influential people by “Connecticut Magazine,” “Business First of New England,” and “The Day.” He is a member of multiple boards throughout his state and country. He has also been recognized by “The Hartford Courant” as one of Connecticut’s most generous citizens.

Robert Kraft, a native of Brooklyn, New York, graduated from the State University of New York at Albany with a degree in finance. He completed his master’s degree in business administration from Columbia Business School. In 1984, he founded his company, The Kraft Group, Inc., headquartered in Fairfield, Connecticut. In 1987 he sold his small business to H. Samuel Rifkin Jr., chairman of the board of directors and president of the executive committee of Rifkin Holding Co., based in New York City.

He was inducted into the National Football Foundation’s Hall of Fame in 1999. He is also a member of the Board of Directors for USA Football, The New England Patriots Foundation, The Kraft Group, and the U.S. Olympic Committee and the Board of Trustees for both St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital and Boston College.

Kraft has donated millions to charity throughout his life, including support for Sister Cities International and donations to St. John’s University in New York City, where he earned his undergraduate degree in 1971; and Salem State University in Massachusetts, where he earned his master’s degree from in 1976 (MBA).
