In this show, it revolved a real-life family court in Manhattan, Judy Sheindlin, who is referred as a fair but tough judge. These are two of the television shows that are produced and directed by Randy Douthit.

On his view on film-making during a pandemic, Randy Douthit says that they were and are the hardest times in his career. He argues that when producing any show during a pandemic is an added cost. He says that the expected time to be used to make a production becomes limited and thus this comes along with added costs due to the prolonged time. He also argues about the issue of putting on face masks. He says that this is a radical change from the prior period and thus it makes times hard during the production. Randy also says that in such pandemic periods, someone must be very keen and careful in order not to contract the disease.

On the success of Judy justice, it emerged as the most television show with more than 25 million streaming hours during its first season. This was according to a New York post. Towards the end of the first season, Judy Justice show had already outperformed according to viewership quantities Judge Judy.
