Set to launch before Ramadan, the app’s revamped community section will offer users new ways to connect with fellow Muslims across the globe. “We are actually relaunching our community section; there will be different types of forums and you can have a lot more interaction within our app,” says Nafees Khundker, CEO and group managing director.

This development reflects the company’s vision of creating a digital space where Muslims can gather regardless of geographical boundaries. “We’ve already built a community; it’s a global community. Now, they can actually come and interact with each other within the app,” Khundker explains.

The community-centered approach has already demonstrated its impact. In late 2023, following the escalation of conflict between Palestine and Israel, Muslim Pro users collectively raised nearly half a million dollars for Palestinian relief efforts within a short timeframe.

The app’s evolution has profoundly affected users’ lives, particularly those without access to local Muslim communities. Khundker shares the story of a convert from Norway who reached out to express how Muslim Pro had changed her life.

“This person’s Islamic journey actually started with Muslim Pro,” he recalls. “She used it on a daily basis to read and understand the Quran, to find more context in what Islam is and how to practice it.”

Beyond virtual community-building, the platform continues to expand educational offerings. Live and recorded classes for learning Arabic and studying the Quran at different levels are now available, with personalization features being enhanced to meet diverse user needs.

The Muslim Pro App team is also developing journaling tools and other features designed to help Muslims cultivate mindfulness and deepen spiritual reflections.
