Gino Pozzo

Gino Pozzo is one of the most well-known entrepreneurs in football. He is the co-owner of Watford FC and Udinese Calcio, with stakes in AS Roma and Newcastle United FC. Gino has helped to widen his father’s company portfolio from construction to media rights, radio broadcasting, TV production, digital media, and hotels across Europe.

His Achievements

Gino Pozzo is a significant player in the European football industry. He has helped to expand the family business into other areas of business. Gino has spread his wealth across Europe, acquiring a stake in Newcastle United FC, AS Roma, and their football club based in Watford. He has also been involved with the family’s construction business and media rights, radio broadcasting, TV production, digital media, and hotels across Europe.

Gino Pozzo has acquired a reputation for being a shrewd businessman who is never afraid to take risks. In 2010 Gino was bold enough to purchase Serie A side Udinese Calcio from his father, Giampaolo Pozzo. He aimed to help the club advance from Italy’s second division into Serie A. He achieved this within a few years; since then, Udinese has flourished under his ownership.

In 2013, Gino Pozzo made a move for French international footballer Yoann Gourcuff, who was on loan at Saint-Etienne FC. He saw the move as an opportunity to expand his portfolio further and to add another quality player to his ranks. Gino successfully purchased the 22-year-old’s services for $22m, but Gourcuff was later sold to Lyon FC permanently. Gino’s observation of the transfer was to spot the talent he would be able to extend on and off the pitch. His ability to take on defenders and assist teammates showed Gourcuff’s potential.

It is clear that Gino Pozzo has a keen eye for talent and isn’t afraid to take risks. Such risks have led to him acquiring two football clubs that are successful on the pitch and off it. Gino has a keen interest in music and has produced albums with some of his Udinese players, including Fabrizio Miccoli. This side of the business was a part of his father’s legacy and one he is proud to continue and expand upon. Visit this page for additional information.
