Colcom Foundation and Deprivation of Nature
We currently live in a society that does little to protect the planet that we live in. Most people tend to take the time to take care of themselves, but do not do much to care for the planet and for our environment.
The Colcom Foundation works to help encourage those that visit to do as much as they can to make a difference and truly protect the planet that we live on.
Colcom Foundation supports several special programs, including the Conservation Catalyst Fund, which grants conservation organizations working to protect threatened species and habitats. By offering financial support and resources, this foundation allows these groups to make significant strides in conservation efforts.
The world’s population is booming, there are not more people on our planet than ever before, and this large population expansion is one of the main threats to the planet and is one of the biggest threats when it comes to a potential mass extinction. The Colcom Foundation works to help ensure that those that are living here are ready and willing to make a difference and to truly take their future into their hands.
The Colcom Foundation spends a great deal of time to make sure that they are taking the time to educate those that visit and make sure that they are given the information that they need to help make a difference. Millions of people do not have access to outdoor spaces, they are not able to spend time in nature and this makes it easier for them to disconnect themselves from nature and to truly not realize how important it is.
City dwellers are more likely to become ill and to develop mood and anxiety disorders, they are more likely to struggle with mental illness, and they are also more likely to require the use of anti-depressants. The foundation believes that a deprivation from nature is one of the main factors that cause these issues, and they work to help provide this information to the public and to help ensure that they are doing all they can to make nature more accessible.
