Avoid Frauds with Greycoat Real Estate

A few weeks ago, a judgment was passed against Michael Tutt, a 40-year-old who pretended to be a letting agent and stole £425 from a couple, Greycoat specialists comment. The event happened in Chandler’s Ford, Hampshire, where Tutt built a fake website and adopted the character of ‘Mark Matheson’ to advertise a leasehold property for rent.

The innocent pair being misled into thinking he was a genuine private landlord, deposited the £425 holding amount. The couple planned to sign the lease agreement in a Costa Coffee shop, but Tutt disappeared and never responded to their calls and emails. According to Greycoat, this is a very common fraud practice among fake real estate agents.

Increasingly worried, the couple decided to carry out their own investigation and found out that the property was not available for rent and that Tutt was only a fake agent. They informed their bank and the police about the fraud. This led to the arrest of Tutt, Greycoat shares.

Tutt’s lawyer contested this in court by drawing attention to the fact that his client was sorry and the reason he resorted to theft was financial pressures he was facing at the time. Nevertheless, Greycoat informs, Judge Nicholas Rowland reinforced the severity of the offense and Tutt’s prior history of similar crimes.

This, expressing he couldn’t see any chance of his rehabilitation and at the moment the prison was the only right sentence in this case. However, with Greycoat Real Estate, you don’t have to worry about losing your money while seeking to rent a property. They have the experience and expertise to help you find a place you can rent.
