Ron Gutman: regular contributor to Forbes

Ron Gutman, a serial technology and healthcare entrepreneur, is also the founder and CEO of HealthApp, the world’s leading digital health platform. Gutman has been named one of the top entrepreneurs in America and has consistently received recognition for his enthusiastic, innovative leadership. He also received a doctorate in Clinical Bioethics from Loyola University Chicago Stritch School of Medicine. Ron Gutman held a degree in Philosophy from Harvard University and was a Rhodes Scholar at Oxford University.

Ron Gutman was born in Bethesda, Maryland, on the 15th of May, 1974. He grew up in a small satellite town outside Washington, DC, with his parents and three siblings. The Gutman family is still very close, and Gutman credits them greatly for supporting his entrepreneurial efforts. 

 

His father, a highly successful investment banker who once ran Salomon Brothers’ Asset Management business, has always been one of his biggest supporters. Ron Gutman attributes much of his drive to succeed to his father’s encouragement and guidance.

Throughout his lifetime, Ron Gutman’s desire to learn has led him to explore many different pursuits. He moved on from a Ph.D. in Philosophy to pursue a career in finance. Gutman graduated magna cum laude with an M.B.A from Harvard Business School and an M.S in Financial Engineering from the Georgetown University School of Foreign Service, where he was a Henry Crown Fellow for his thesis on banking reform in Bulgaria and Cyprus. Ron Gutman also co-founded BrandYourself, the world’s leading online reputation management service, with over $50 million in venture funding from renowned Silicon Valley investors.
